Today I did a painting of Shirley MacLaine from What A Way To Go!
This movie! It’s high, HIGH camp and I couldn’t love it any more if I tried.
The costumes are by Edith Head and are brilliant, the sets are magnificent, the dance numbers are spectacular, and the actors are mind blowingly silly.
I am a HUGE Shirley MacLaine fan, but I also love Dick Van Dyke, Paul Newman, and Gene Kelly. They are all so SO good here.
I don’t think you can watch it on any of the streaming services, but I found it on YouTube!
So go and watch it while it’s there, just leave your critical thinking skills on this side of the play button. Like I said, it’s camp at it’s finest!
