Grace Jones is one of those artists who seems on the edge of sanity. She’s got that look in her eye like she could care less about the mores of polite society, and I like it! It should come as no surprise that I am a HUGE disco fan. I think my first Grace Jones album was her first, Portfolio, which features a disco cover of “Tomorrow” from Annie, “Send In The Clowns” and “La Vie En Rose.” She reminds me of all the best things about the late 70’s & 80’s and I think she is just brilliant.
My favorite album of hers is “Warm Leatherette,” but really, you can’t go wrong listening to any of them.
She is also a fierce actress. I remember being so frightened and intrigued by her in the James Bond film, “A View To A Kill.” Seriously, she is just the best.
