I love all of the original Planet of The Apes movies. They do what the best sci-fi does, they entertain and make commentary on the state of things in our culture.
I love them all for different reasons, but I decided to paint Dr. Zira in her groovy outfit from Escape From The Planet Of The Apes. There’s pretty much nothing I love more than a makeover show, and I love that Zira & Cornelius go mod in this film.
It’s actually a pretty silly and funny show until it’s not. Then it gets serious and pretty dark. But I LOVE it so so much, I just had to make it my half way point painting. THAT’S RIGHT!

I am so excited. I have a feeling the next 50 are going to be a lot harder on me. So far what I like has been fairly easy to remember, but I still have FIFTY more things to go. I think we are about to get weird around here, people.
